Toby Bost
La Jolla Group - Chief Executive Officer / Chairman of the Board

In addition to serving as chairman of the Board, he is CEO of each of the company’s governed clothing and accessories brands: O’Neill Clothing USA, Lost Clothing, Metal Mulisha Clothing and Rusty North America.

Toby’s characteristic “Go Big” attitude, contagious energy and focused expertise managing LJG and its portfolio has resulted in a noteworthy increase in growth; and multi-channel distribution that includes brick and mortar retail, e-commerce, specialty surf/skate shops, and department stores across the globe.

A leader and mentor to many, Toby is also an influential member of the SIMA Board; helped establish the Lusk Legacy Foundation and new association to promote safety in the sport of freestyle motocross, AFMXA; and was recently named a recipient of the 2009 SGB 40 Under 40 Award.

A graduate of the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Business Administration, Toby worked his way up the executive ranks, joining LJG in 1999 as the VP of Manufacturing. He soon advanced to a VP of Operations position, was promoted to COO 2 years later, and landed into his current role in 2006. Prior to LJG, he served as VP of Manufacturing for Rip Curl and No Fear.

When he’s not at the office, traveling, or speaking at conferences, Toby spends time in the waters of San Clemente and Canyon Lake, CA with his wife and three young action sports kids, all of whom he credits with providing endless inspiration.
